These melting pots are designed for melting a host of soft metals such as lead, tin, solder, babbitt, pewter  and  zinc.  

Each melter features an accurate analog temperature control in a range of 0-1000F that is calibrated in F and C.  A digital control is optional.   

All melting pots include safety features and comply with all national codes for commercial and industrial gas heating equipment.  Electric ignition is optional.

Note:  Tin -- and high tin content materials such as lead free solder and lead-free babbitt -- will destroy conventional melting pot crucibles (liners), pumps, etc.  Wenesco can treat these parts to prevent this corrosive problem. Click HERE for details.)

Model MPM 1002 includes heated drain valve.  The melter, fully insulated to conserve energy, is equipped with an exhaust fitting ready for connection to a 6-inch duct.  The side-mounted digital thermostat may be wired for 120 or 240V and leg length can be changed to suit your requirements.

You may choose either Natural Gas or Propane from Wenesco's wide choice of cast iron pots. Or we can build a heavy duty stainless steel version in virtually any size or shape, from 20 to 5,000-lb capacity.  A drain valve is a popular option.

COPPER SHINGLE TINNING POT This solder  pot was especially designed to tin copper roof shingles prior to joining. Temperature is controlled with an accurate adjustable thermostat to maintain solder temperature in the 500F-600F range .Solder melting time is less than 30 minutes.
