Trust Wenesco to come up with neat solutions to
some of your messiest soldering problems.

Problem 1:  "How do we reduce dross?"

bullet

Problem 2: "How can we recover solder from dross?"

Solution 1:  S50 EPAflow Wave Oil -- our low cost, low-smoke additive is virtually odor-free.  When used as a solder pot cover, non-toxic S50 will prevent dross.  It's delivered as wax-like flakes, melts to a clear liquid at
55° C.
Bonus application!  Use S50 as a flow medium to remove components from a pcb.  Lighter and cheaper than solder for this purpose, and it won't tin adjacent leads like solder will when melted.

Solution 2: S27 Solder Reclaimer -- another inexpensive additive that Wenesco customers world-wide use to easily separate dross into two components:  pure solder and a gray powder that you remove and discard.  S27 is safe and non-flammable, but its use does require proper venting of smoke generated during the quick process.   A little goes a long way!
As low as $65.00 per 3-lb jar in quantity.  Call, write or fax Wenesco to order or for specs.

Solution 3: Nitrogen Inerting  -- any Wenesco wave solder pot can be retrofitted to operate with nitrogen gas, as a cover, to eliminate the formation of dross (oxide).  This feature is especially desirable  when the pot is used in automatic high-production applications

NoteTin -- and high tin content materials such as lead free solder and lead-free babbitt -- will destroy conventional melting pot crucibles (liners), pumps, etc.  Wenesco can treat these parts to prevent this corrosive problem. Click HERE for details.
